Description
Switch panel Backlighting
  • Electroluminescent Strips. Flexible strip glows evenly.
  • THE BLUE-GREEN color is closest to the original SeaRay backlighting.
  • The RED color is dimmer than the blue-green but readable at night and will not disturb night vision
  • These are brand new modern upgraded replacements for the original light tape used on many backlighted switch panels from the early 1980's up through the 2000's. There were a few different experiments in the past with different styles, but these were the most reliable and these will also replace the "tube" style lights that were used for a few years.
  • These lights are powered by AC voltage. A small inverter safely converts 12VDC to 110-170VAC. It is possible your originals operated in the same manner so you can operate your old light strips with one our new inverters (SOLD SEPARATELY - SEE ACCESSORIES BELOW). You can also operate our new light strips with your original inverter which is located in your switch panel wiring harness. We are not sure of the load limitations of your original inverters. We would not recommend operating more than two (2) light strips on one of the original inverters. (Our new inverter can operate up to four (4) of our large light strips. IF YOU ARE NOT CERTAIN THAT YOUR ORIGINAL LIGHT STRIPS ARE 110VAC, PLEASE TEST THE VOLTAGE.
  • These strips can be secured to the back side of your switch panel with good quality tape.
  • The strips are approximately 3/4" (20mm) in width. The lengths currently available are 4" (100mm), 5-1/8" (130mm), 7-3/4" (200mm), and 11-3/4" (300mm)
  • 1 Year warranty from the date of purchase.
  • CAUTION! The output voltage of the inverter WILL SHOCK YOU if mishandled and proper precautions are not taken
