Carlingswitch ON/OFF double pole V series Contura rocker switch body.

  • ON/OFF configuration
  • Double Pole*, the two sides of the switch are independent of each other. This is a very odd configuration and not a typical double pole switch - read the full description carefully. Though this is a double pole switch, it is typically used to power only one accessory.
  • 12V Red independent LED lamp in the 1 position is wired to terminals (#7 -) and (#8 +) and illuminates independently of actuator position.
  • 12V Green dependent LED lamp in 2 position is wired to terminals (#3+)(internally) and (#6-). This lamp illuminates when the switch is actuated to the ON position.
  • An independent lamp has both a positive and negative terminal as opposed to a dependent lamp that just has a negative terminal. Independent lamps can be lit independently of the actuator position as opposed to "dependent" lamps that get their power internally when the actuator moves to the "on" position
  • 6 terminal; Terminal #7 is the ground for the red independent lamp in position 1. Terminal #8 is the power feed for the red independent lamp in position 1. Terminal #2 is power in. Terminal #3 is power out (and also the positive feed for the green lamp in position 2). Terminal #5 is not used, Terminal #6 is the ground for the Green lamp in position 2. Be careful as the terminal #2-#3 and #5-#6 connections are made when the actuator is depressed. Terminal #2 which will energize #3 when actuator depressed. Ground will be connected to terminal #6 to illuminate the bulb so you must be sure not to connect power to terminal #5 like you would typically do on a double pole switch. This will create a dead short circuit.
